At the core of our service concept is the friendly Service Guides or Travel Advisors. They are here to make sure travellers have a comfort zone in the middle of the unknown, and they are our ambassadors who meet the travellers at eyelevel.

Our Travel Advisors are all experienced independent travellers, with a passion for sharing. We have the local experts, who loves to share information about their native country. And we have the travellers, who wants to unpack their bags for a couple of years, to live in a different country. At the moment, we only have international Travel Advisors in Thailand.

Sales Manager (SM), Go Beyond Thailand


The SM will with reference to the Country Director (CD), be responsible for maintaining, strengthening and improving the sales For Go Beyond Thailand. Furthermore support to improve and securing a stronger agent network globally. This includes our offline and online special request retail business for our DMC services, Travel Centers for international agents, OTA customers and direct customers.

Go Beyond Asia is moving towards more focus and sales to direct customers both offline and online, while we emphasize the part as DMC in Thailand (this also includes offline-online direct customers) where we need to grow towards global audience in core markets, the second leg will be focused on securing a strong growth of direct customer market. The SM will with his team support the online teams in these strategic approaches. Apart from the overall DMC sales the SM is also responsible for selling accommodation for our Guesthouse in Bangkok.

The SM reports directly to the CD (Country Director) of Go Beyond Thailand.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Overall responsible for sales and sales teams GO Beyond, Thailand.
  • Responsible for reaching budget and targets for the entity, and secure strong growth across below areas.
  • Responsible for Agents sales including all special request and group sales
  • Responsible for offline service offices in Go Beyond Thailand
  • Responsible for Guesthouse sales and occupancy performance
  • Responsible for securing strong offline-online special request sales to direct customers in teamwork with online manager. Defined growth targets.
  • Responsible for securing a new groundbreaking helpdesk live chat sales function for GB international
  • Responsible for securing strong coaching and training plans and schemes of internal staff.
  • Support on training and coaching of international agents in coordination with CD and CEO
  • Responsible for development of stronger sales from a larger agents network (in coordination with CD and CEO) for the area as well as agents benefitting sales across the entire GB network.
  • Responsible for recruiting and dismissing within the areas of responsibility in coordination with HR and CD
  • Ensure continued development of the business activities in accordance with strategy.
  • Secure better profitability and margins in a competitive backpacker market.
  • Secure lean and professional workflows within the sales departments. And good teamwork with other departments.
  • Responsible for securing that we deliver the right services for our customers in CD markets.

Are you our new Travel Advisor in Bangkok?


Have you traveled around Asia? Do you love to plan exciting destinations? Do you have sales and/or service experience? Do you want to be a part of the bustling and exciting metropolis of Bangkok, where adventures awaits to be explored around every corner? Being close to paradise beaches, have the opportunity to eat extremely tasty food and never have to worry about cooking or freezing in the winter time. Then you might be the person we are looking for.

Go Beyond Asia has one position available as a Travel Advisor in Bangkok from June 2017. The position is with a minimum of 12 months employment. You will join a talented team of young professionals and work in a mixed cultural environment. Daily tasks include booking hotels and tours and not least advising guests. The most important task as a Travel Advisor is to make sure that our guests feel at home and to give them the best advice possible.

As a Travel Advisor you will have an unforgettable experience. You will build a very strong knowledge about traveling in Thailand and neighboring countries, that you can use not only here, but also upon returning home. You will become an expert. It is a very exciting job in which you will pass on your own travel experience.


  • Advising and inspiring our guests and solve problems
  • Daily walking tour in the neighborhood
  • Daily info meeting for our guests both in English
  • Booking tours and hotels and help planning interesting itineraries
  • Check bookings and arrival lists from agents
  • Work closely with the staff at our guest house (New Road Guest House), partner hostels and overseas agents

You will have considerable responsibility and we expect you to work both independently and as part of a team. The environment will sometimes be very hectic, so we expect you to stay calm and focused under pressure.

Who Should Apply?

Ideal candidates will have guide and/or extensive travel experience in Thailand and Southeast Asia. Applicants with experience in sales and good sales techniques as well as interaction with customers will be preferred. Fluent English is a must. Multilingual speakers will also have an advantage in the application process.
