Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi to Lao Cai
In the evening, our representative will meet you at your hotel and escort you to the train station. Board the night train to Lao Cai and catch some sleep, you have some long and exciting days ahead of you!

Transportation: Hanoi to Hanoi Train Station by Car, Van, or Minibus, Hanoi to Lao Cai by Train in A/C Soft-Sleeper

Day 2: Lao Cai to Sapa
Your train will arrive at Lao Cai train station in the early morning, and you'll hop on a private van for the one-hour drive to Sapa. The van will drop you off at a local coffee shop with a beautiful view of the valley, where you will meet our amazing guide before enjoying breakfast and relaxing. After a quick briefing about your journey, you'll start heading through the fields to Y Linh Ho, where the Black H’mong people live. The Black H’mong are proud of their culture, and they have their own language and wear traditional indigo blue clothing. You will trek to your homestay and arrive in the early evening and enjoy some free time to explore the area. You'll have dinner with the family and spend the night at Y Linh Ho village.

Day 3: Sapa
After an early breakfast, we'll say goodbye to our hosts and trek to Lao Chai village and learn more about the local culture and customs. We'll walk to Ta Van village to visit the Zay people - The Zay minority in Ta Van have their own distinct culture and lifestyle. We'll have dinner and sleep overnight in Ta Van.

Day 4: Ta Van to Lao Cai to Hanoi
After breakfast, we'll leave Ta Van and trek to Giang Ta Chai village where we can see the Red Dao people. The women of the Red Dao have very colorful red embroideries, coins on their clothing, and wear red scarves on their heads. Some of the women shave their eyebrows because they believe a hairless face is beautiful. We'll stop for lunch before leaving Giang Ta Chai and drive to Sapa. In Sapa, after lunch, you will wait at the restaurant to catch the comfortable shared bus back to Hanoi. The bus arrives to Hanoi Old Quarter at around 21:00.
