Day 2: Can Tho to Chau Doc
Begin your day early with a visit to the famous Cai Rang Floating Market. Cruise through the Mekong’s winding tributaries, take in the vibrant atmosphere of bustling boats, and observe daily life along the scenic canals.
Afterward, visit a local workshop to learn how Hu Tieu (Vietnamese rice noodles) are made. Return to your accommodation for a short rest.
Lunch is at your own expense before your transfer to Chau Doc. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

After having breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the boat dock. From there, hop on a boat and cruise to the floating village, where you’ll learn about the daily life and fish-farming practices of the people living in floating houses.
Continue by boat to a Cham minority village, home to a traditional weaving workshop. Get a glimpse into the lives of the Cham people who live in stilted houses and see how they craft colorful sarongs and towels by hand. Head back to Chau Doc by boat and stop by the local market, where you’ll find a wide variety of Mekong River fish, fish sauces, and local specialties on display.
Enjoy lunch at the market at your own expense, then transfer to the foot of Sam Mountain and take a short trek up to the Cave Pagoda. From the top, take in sweeping views of the Mekong Delta, the Vinh Te Canal, and the border between Vietnam and Cambodia.
