Typhoon Kajiki – Situation Update (27 August 2025)
Vietnam
- Hanoi still experiencing rainfall; most flooded roads have drained, but low-lying areas remain submerged.
- Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, and Quang Tri continue to face flooding, landslides, and infrastructure disruptions.
- Reports of power outages and crop damage across several northern and central regions.
No Go Beyond bookings in Vietnam are affected today.
Laos
- Northern provinces including Luang Prabang, Oudomxay, and Huaphanh face heavy rainfall with localized flooding.
- Authorities remain on alert for flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas.

Thailand
- Northern provinces (Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Nan, Phayao) affected by flash floods and landslides.
- Northeast provinces (Loei, Nong Khai) also facing heavy rain and flood risks.
- Warnings remain in place for northern and northeastern regions.
No Go Beyond bookings in Thailand are affected today.

Thailand–Cambodia Border News – 27 August 2025
Thailand and Cambodia held an extraordinary border committee meeting in Si Sa Ket and agreed on an 11-point framework to:
- Improve military communication
- Prevent provocations
- Maintain the ceasefire reached in July
Thailand also announced plans to reinforce security barriers at Ban Nong Chan in Sa Kaeo following earlier tensions. No fresh clashes have been reported.
Tourism & Travel Advisory:
- Authorities advise avoiding travel within 50 km of the conflict zone.
- Major destinations remain safe and unaffected, including Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket in Thailand, and Siem Reap, Phnom Penh in Cambodia.
Economic Concerns:
Business leaders caution that prolonged tensions may affect tourism and cross-border trade, emphasizing the importance of a swift resolution.
