EMERGENCY UPDATE: Thailand-Cambodia Border Situation

Go Beyond Client Status: We confirm that Go Beyond travelers currently in the Trat Islands (Koh Chang, Koh Kood, Koh Mak) are safe and unaffected. Our Operations Team has verified that the conflict is strictly limited to specific mainland border pockets. There is no impact on the islands.
Specific Destination Update: Trat Islands
Operational Status: NORMAL / GREEN Despite the ongoing tensions along parts of the Thailand-Cambodia border, we wish to clarify the situation regarding the popular islands of Koh Chang, Koh Kood, and Koh Mak:
- Safety: These islands remain peaceful, safe, and fully operational. There are no reports of fighting, curfews, or security incidents in these maritime zones.
- Transport: All ferry and boat services are operating on normal schedules.
- Distance Buffer: The islands are geographically removed from the conflict. They are located a safe distance (minimum 40–50 kilometers) from the specific clash point at Ban Chamrak, Mueang Trat District.Koh Chang: Approx. 70–90 km from affected border areas.
- Koh Kood: Approx. 90–120 km from affected border areas.
- Security Assurance: The Royal Thai Navy maintains a strong presence to protect national sovereignty and territorial waters, ensuring the maritime region remains secure.

Please reassure your clients immediately: The tourism sector is sensitive to unclear news, but it is vital to distinguish between the mainland border conflict and the island destinations.
- Precautionary measures currently apply only to specific mainland border districts in Trat.
- Tourist activities on the islands remain unaffected. Guests can continue to enjoy their holidays without concern.
