Upon arrival at Denpasar Airport (DPS), collect your luggage and meet your driver for a private transfer to your hotel in Ubud. Check-in on arrival and rest of the day at leisure to recover from your long oversea journey.

Day 4: Ubud to Yogyakarta
After breakfast, meet your driver in the lobby of your hotel (the exact pick up time will be reconfirmed the day before via the reception of your hotel) for a private transfer back to the airport. We will leave Bali behind for some days and start exploring Java, the most populous island of Indonesia, home to numerous cultural, historical and natural sights waiting for you.

Today is free at leisure to explore the vibrant city on your own. Being one of the oldest cities in Indonesia, Yogyakarta has many heritage buildings and monuments. The number one must-see attraction is Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono's palace, better known as Kraton Ngayogyakarta' or just call it less formally "Kraton" or "Sultan's Palace". Today is free at leisure. As a part of Bali, Lovina doesn’t feature heavily in Balinese history, but there are some significant places in the area. About a half-hour drive west in the town of Banjar is Bali’s largest Buddhist monastery. Opened in 1970, Brahmavihara-Arama encompasses a hectare of land, with many meditation rooms, libraries, and a remarkable mini replica of the world’s largest archaeological site, Borobudur. The site features Balinese architecture, with Buddhist paraphernalia available inside for a donation. Stroll around the gardens and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Amed is a small traditional fishing village on the Northeast coast of Bali surrounded by the very scenic Mount Agung. Compared to much of Bali, you won’t find too many tourists here and it is the perfect place to discover the real unspoiled Bali. You will feel as though you were visiting the island 20 years back (before the tourist boom!). Try to wander early in the morning on the long black sandy beaches to check out the fishermen using their jukung, the local fishing boat – some might even take you out with them.
