Itinerary
Day 1: Kathmandu (1350m) to Lukla (2840m, trekking time 4 hours)
The adventure begins with an exhilarating 25-30 minute flight to Lukla, offering stunning aerial views of the Himalayas. If we’re on the first flight, we’ll enjoy breakfast in Lukla before starting our trek. Following the Dudh Koshi River, we make our way toward Phakding, passing through charming villages and enjoying views of Mt. Kusum Kanguru and Kongde.

Day 2: Phakding (2600m) to Namche Bazaar (3440m, trekking time 6 -7 hours)
Today’s trek follows the Dudh Koshi River, crossing picturesque suspension bridges and passing through pine forests before entering Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A steep climb after the Hillary Suspension Bridge brings us to Namche Bazaar, the heart of Sherpa culture. Along the way, we catch our first glimpse of Everest and Lhotse, making the challenging ascent worthwhile. If it’s Saturday, we’ll experience the famous local market, where traders from Tibet and Nepal gather.

Day 3: Namche Bazaar
To adjust to the altitude, we take a short hike to Everest View Hotel (3,880m), where we enjoy breathtaking panoramas of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. After soaking in the views, we descend back to Namche to explore its vibrant marketplace, monasteries, and teahouses, immersing ourselves in Sherpa culture.

Day 4: Namche (3440m) to Tengboche (3860m, trekking time 6 hours)
Leaving Namche, the trail meanders along a scenic ridge with spectacular views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. We descend through lush forests, crossing the Dudh Koshi River before beginning a steep uphill climb to Tengboche. This challenging ascent is rewarded with a visit to the famous Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region, set against a stunning Himalayan backdrop.

Day 5: Tengboche (3860m) to Pangboche (3940m, trekking time 3 hours)
The journey begins with a gentle descent through lush rhododendron forests as we head toward Deboche. Crossing the Imja River via a suspension bridge, we take a short but steady climb to Pangboche—one of the oldest Sherpa settlements in the region. This village, known for its deep Buddhist roots, is home to the famous Pangboche Monastery, which once housed a mysterious yeti relic. The monastery is an important spiritual center and provides a glimpse into the traditional Buddhist way of life in the Himalayas.

Day 6: Pangboche (3940m) to Ama Dablam Basecamp (4600m, trekking time 6 - 7 hours)
Today, we descend toward the river before beginning a challenging ascent toward Ama Dablam Basecamp. The name "Ama Dablam" translates to "Mother's Necklace," symbolizing the mountain’s unique ridges resembling a mother embracing her child. After crossing the bridge, a steep uphill climb of two hours is followed by a more gradual ascent. Once at the basecamp, we’ll take time to admire the stunning surroundings and capture breathtaking views of one of Nepal’s most beautiful peaks before retracing our steps to Pangboche.

Day 7: Pangboche (3930m) to Khumjung (3790m, trekking time 6 hours)
This segment of the trek beautifully weaves together breathtaking landscapes and rich Sherpa heritage. We begin by descending along a scenic mountain ridge, passing through rhododendron and juniper forests before reaching a suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. From here, the trail follows a gentle, flat path toward Deboche before ascending toward Tengboche, home to the iconic Tengboche Monastery, the spiritual center of the Khumbu region. Trail now descend to Dudhkoshi river, crossing the river, we take on a challenging uphill climb leading to Khumjung, a traditional Sherpa village nestled beneath the sacred peak of Khumbila. This village offers a fascinating cultural experience.

Day 8: Khumjung (3790m) to Thame (3800m, trekking time 5 hours)
Leaving the beautiful khumjung village we head toward the small Sherpa village of Thame where legendary Everest climbers were born. Day begins with easy walk to Khunde village situated on the western part of the valley and popular for its hospital made by Sir Edmund Hillary. Pass by airport of Syangboche situated at the height of 3780m, we descend and follow the trail that leads toward Thamo, a small Sherpa village before Thame. Now we gradually ascend to the Thame village an old salt trading route between Tibet and Nepal.

Day 9: Thame (3800m) to Monjo (2835m, trekking time 6 hours)
We retrieve our route back to Namche, it is less crowded compare to the main trail until Namche and follow the main busy trail to Monjo. Admire the beautiful landscape, mountain views, and Sherpa culture along the way. Take a small break at Namche and stroll into the street of namche before you wind through lush pine forest and small settlement to Monjo for overnight.

Day 10: Monjo (2835m) to Lukla (2840m, trekking time 5 hours)
On our final day of trekking, follow the Dudh Koshi River downstream, crossing suspension bridges and passing charming Sherpa villages along the way. We pass through Phakding before reaching Lukla, where we celebrate the completion of our incredible journey through the Himalayas.

Day 11: Lukla (2840m) to Kathmandu (1350m, trekking time 4 hours)
An early morning flight from Lukla offers one last breathtaking aerial view of the towering peaks we’ve trekked through. Upon landing in Kathmandu, we bid farewell to the mountains, carrying unforgettable memories of our Himalayan adventure.

Please note: There is possibilities that the flight to/from Lukla could be from/to Ramechhap which is around 5 hrs to 8 hrs drive from/to Kathmandu depending on road condition. If it happens then our trip will be one day longer due to drive from Kathmandu to Ramechhap or vice versa. We will spend one overnight in ramechhap and board our flight the next day. On the way back we fly to Ramechapp from Lukla and drive back to Kathmandu the same day.
The Lukla flight is weather-dependent, and delays or cancellations are common. Baggage limits are set at 10 kg for luggage and 5 kg for a carry-on.
