All year. The best time to visit is from October to February when it is dry and temperatures are at their lowest around at around 20-25 degrees. At night times the temperatures can fall to lower than 10 Degrees in December and January. March to May is the hot season and temperature can rise to above 40 degrees. The rainy season runs from the end of May until the end of September and can bring heavy and regular rainfall.

This trip is especially designed to avoid the rains and stay in the middle part of the country where it generally rains less than 50% of the days (and mostly just a few hours)

Day 1: Transfer from Heho Airport to your hotel and free time to explore Nyaung Shwe/Inle Lake

Upon arrival in Heho Aiport, you will meet your driver and transfer to your hotel in Nyaung Shwe. Depending on you arrival time, the rest of the day is free for you to explore the town or organise a trip to Inle Lake

Day 2: Try your hands on a Shan Cooking Class at Bamboo Garden

Have breakfast at your hotel, but don’t eat too much. You will be treated with a fantastic cooking class in an open kitchen in a very atmospheric garden.
Walk 10 minutes to your meeting point (will be informed to you by Ms Sue one day in advance), and be ready at 09:00. Start by going to the Nyaung Shwe local market to buy the ingredients for your special menu. Bring it to the Bamboo Garden to learn Intha recipes of Intha style fish curry, fried vegetables, Shan noodles or fried rice cake and egg curry with tamarind paste. Around 12:00 noon you will have your own prepared lunch at the bamboo house, and take in the charming experienced you’ve just been part of.
The rest of the afternoon is free for you to do as you please – explore the city or organise a trip to nearby Inle Lake
