Day 1: Beijing

Welcome to Beijing!

Our representative will be waiting for you at the airport, holding a sign with your name and will take you to your hotel in town. Check-in on arrival and rest of the day at leisure to start exploring China’s capital on your own.

As one of the six ancient cities in China, Beijing has been the heart and soul of politics throughout its long history and consequently there is an unparalleled wealth of discovery to delight and intrigue travellers as they explore the city's ancient past and exciting modern development.

Transportation: Beijing Airport (PEK/PKX) to Beijing Hotel by Private Car or Van
Accommodation: Beijing Jade International Youth Hostel in Standard Room (or similar)

Day 2: Beijing

Full day biking tour through the narrow back streets of the old part of Beijing, to explore the real local things beaten the crowds, pass by Lama Temple, highest academy of Imperial Learning, Nan Luoguxiang Hutong, “Ghost Street”– a 24-hour food street, Houhai Lake areas, Jingshan Park – the hilltop is a great place to have a bird’s View of Imperial Palace, Tiananmen Square, “the Egg” - National Theater and the Exhibition hall of urban planning and construction, Qianmen Street- the oldest and most famous business street. You can stop in for a visit at any spots you are interested (the entrance fee on your own); ride back to your hotel by evening.

Day 3: Beijing

Your guide will meet you at 8:30 and head towards the Northeast of Beijing by private car with driver. You will arrive in the Bei Gou village around 10:00 and start your hike on the Great Wall for about 4 hours depending on your energy level. This section of the wall is untouched and is considered as a paradise of professional photographers because of its great scenery and lack of crowds. When climbing up the wall, you can head either to the untouched Jiankou Section or Mutianyu Section. 

We then walk back to a local farmer’s house for a short rest. Here you will see experience first hand how life is in the village. Afterwards, we will drive back to the city and make a quick stop at the Olympic Park to have a closer look at Bird’s Nest and Water Cube (exterior view only). Expect to reach your hotel around 16:00.
