Day 1: Delhi - Katni/Umaria
Today, get a train for Katni/Umaria from Delhi or Varanasi up to your choice or starter point. Board into train for Katni/Umaria. Overnight in Train.
Day 2: Katni - Bandhavgarh
Arrive in Katni in the morning. You will meet your driver upon arrival and drive straight to Bandhavgarh National Park area (Total Drive around 3 to 4 hours). The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight at Resort.
Day 3: Bandhavgarh National Park
Today, after breakfast, you will enjoy rides inside the national park. Covering 448 Sq. km, this park has a large biodiversity. The density of the tiger population at Bandhavgarh is one of the highest known in India. The park has a large breeding population of Leopards, and various species of deer. Maharaja Martand Singh of Rewa captured the first white tiger in this region in 1951. This white tiger, Mohan, is now stuffed and on display in the palace of the Maharajas of Rewa.
Bandhavgarh is densely populated with Tiger and other wildlife creatures. The great Gaur (Indian Bison) can be seen with ease. Sambar, Barking deer are a common sight and Nilgai are seen in the more open areas of the park. There are more than 22 species of mammals and 250 species of birds. Common Langurs and Rhesus Macaque represent the primate group. Carnivores include Asiatic jackal, Bengal Fox, Sloth Bear, Rattlesnake, Gray Mongoose, Striped Hyena, Jungle cat, Leopard and Tiger.
Day 4: Bandhavgarh - Katni/ Umaria - Delhi/Varanasi
The morning is at your leisure. After lunch we drive to Katni/ Umaria Railway station (3 - 4 hours) to connect with the overnight train for Delhi/ Varanasi.
Day 5: Arrive in Delhi/Varanasi
Arrive in Delhi/ Varanasi and proceed on your own.
