Itinerary

After meeting up at Go Beyond Nepal Office, located next to Kathmandu Guest House in Thamel before 09:00 am, we’ll leave the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu behind and head north towards the foothills of Shivapuri National Park, where we’ll see the largest reclining statue of lord Vishnu, the largest stone carving in Nepal. From here, we’ll start our gradual uphill walk through small local towns towards the Shivapuri National Park and then enter the park and begin to hear the tweeting birds echo around dense forest.  We’ll continue our gradual uphill hike and leave the jeep track, taking the final staircases to reach the hidden nunneries. Enjoy the spectacular valley view, chat with some of the nuns and enjoy a simple noodle lunch prepared by the nuns. Once we’ve had our fill, we’ll venture back the way we came.
