Itinerary

Day 1
From Kathmanduto Hattibang. Lovely trek and beautiful view

We will leave from Kathmandu early in the morning and make our way along river valleys, past terraced fields and small towns before getting to our starting point. The day begins with a mostly uphill trail through villages to Hattibang (1410m). Here you can enjoy the beautiful mountain view of Mt. Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Jugalhimal and Manaslu (if weather permits).

Day 2
Trekking from Hattibang via Siraichuli to Upper Dangadi

After having a traditional breakfast, we leave Hattibang and start our challenging uphill walk through the forest to Siraichuli. It’s the heighest point of our trek (1945 meters), and it offers a spectacular view including Annapurna, Manaslu and Rolwaling. After enjoying the view, we descend through forest all the way to Upper Dangadi. Here the remains of a historical fort can still be seen. The ford was made in 18th century and helped to defend the surrounding countryside. The place also offers a spectacular mountain view.

Day 3
trekking from Upper Dangadi to Shaktikhor and visiting Chitwan National Park

We make our final descend through mixed forest for about three hours to Shaktikhor and then drive approximately 2 hours to Chitwan National Park. The national park is listed as World Heritage site. It’s one of the finest national parks in Asia, coving an area of 932 square kilometer and renowned for its variety of wild life. Check into a community home stay, relax a bit and go for a village walk. Later we will attend a local cooking class and enjoy a dinner with traditional cultural dance.

Day 4
Explore Chitwan National Park by canoe, by foot and by jeep or bicycle

Early morning you will do a canoe trip on the river to spot crocodiles in the surface and on the riverbanks. After that we will take a walk and when we have had our lunch we will go on a jeep safari to see the wild life. If it's in the monsoon period or jeeps are not allowed inside the park for other reasons, we will go on a cycling excursion through the cycling trail in the land of the etnic group the Tharus.

Note: Jeep safaris are not running in the monsoon period due to government rules. Normally the jeep safari inside the park is running from November to June month only. Outside of this period the jeeps might be denied access to the park by government with out any prior notice as well, i.e.for safety reasons.

Day 5
We will leave after we have had our breakfast. You can drive back to Kathmandu or to Pokhara or to Sunauli.
