After lunch at a famous local seafood restaurant, you will cross the river and embark on another train taking you through fields and sea salt flats before entering the famous Mae Khlong railway market, which is located on the active railway tracks. Watch the locals rushing to move stalls and umbrellas off the tracks as the train approaches. And reopen them just seconds after the train has left the station.
End your day at the cosy Amphawa floating market where merchants in boats tempts passers-by with freshly cooked seafood and traditional wooden houses line the canals.

Meet at New Road Guest House, Charoen Krung 36 at 08.00hrs. The tour starts at New Road Guest House at 8.30 hrs. Here you will meet your guide who will give a short briefing, and then walk you to the sky train station. Board the sky train for a short ride to Wongwian Yai, which will already leave you with a feel of a day beyond the beaten track when you walk through local neighbourhoods to get to the station where the train ride starts. If time admits, you will get a local snack and coffee from the local market stalls around the station.
Jumping on the train as it leaves the station. You will almost feel that you drive through the kitchens and living rooms of the locals. On the way, you will see the big buildings of Bangkok become smaller in the distance until rice fields and houses on stilts surround you. With open eyes you can lean back and enjoy the scenic ride.
When the train comes to a stop, you will literally have arrived in the middle of the Mahachai fresh market. Your guide will walk you through some of the small alleys and take you to a famous restaurant where you will be treated to some of the freshest and best seafood around.
After lunch you will go by minivan to the Mae Klong market, also known as the Umbrella Market. The market has become famous, as it is setup along (and on) the Mae Klong railway tracks. Once the train approaches, the awnings, umbrellas and shopfronts of are pulled back from the rail tracks so the train can pass - only to be replaced as soon as the train has passed through.* You will have time to walk around and see the market to talk to the locals or perhaps buy a batch of dried fish or deliciously fresh vegetables.
From Mae Klong you’ll go by local pick up truck to cozy Amphawa floating market. Set along the quaint Amphawa canal, you will find heritage teak-wood houses and shops and boats with smiling ladies preparing a new batch of tasty seafood. Here’s retro inflicted toys, cute t-shirts and more Thai sweets than you can imagine. You will have time to explore the market, and do some shopping before your guide will find a minivan taking you back to Bangkok’s metropolis.Upon arrival in the outskirts of Bangkok, change from minivan to boat, and sail to Chao Phraya’s Pier number 1, which is also Saphan Taksin BTS Skytrain Station. Expected arrival time in Bankgok about is 18:30 hrs depending on the traffic situation.
