Hoi An and Da Nang Beach
In the dull light of dawn, oil lamps send fine shadows out over the Yellow River. Here life seems easy. A proud lady maneuvers the old fragile, yet top loaded bike along the River. Smiling, waiving, shouting, as she passes friends, other bikers on the way to the markets, and at the kids chasing a shy dog.
Fresh, crispy spring rolls, just prepared in Green Bamboos inspiring cooking class. Tailors with a sense of perfection, creates shoes on order in less than 24 hours. Travelers having smoothies with freshly harvested herbs, on fine colored wooden balconies with the river flowing by below. Follow the River on a bike trip, or head towards the coast for a swim in the rolling waves. The sea often gets a bit rough in the afternoon so bike here in the mornings.
With its stunning location right on the Yellow River and easy ambience it makes good sense that Hoi An is loved by travelers. Here it is easy to use 3 days or more.
28 Kilometers from Hoi An and towards Da Nang town, a beach destination is being developed, and resorts are slowly taking in all available space. This coast lacks Hoi Ans ambience and is more touristy in the flashy resort way, but with its fine sand, and turquoise waters it is ok for those that loves the sea, or want a combination with exploration days in Hoi An.
