Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Arrival in Hanoi airport where you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel. After check-in at your hotel (you may have to wait for the check-in if you come earlier than 12:00), you have free time to relax, explore the streets around the hotel.

Overnight at Gia Thinh Hotel (or similar).

Day 2: Old Quarter explorations by foot (B)
We meet at 09:00 in an old coffee shop, in the outskirts of the Old quarter (address: 11 Hang Gai street) right by the Hoang Kiem Lake. The Coffee shop gives a fine insight in the traditional architecture, and daily life. Flowing through the old quarter we will understand why the houses in this quarter are very narrow, hear stories about old Hanoi, and step by step understand both Hanoi of yesterday, and modern day Hanoi.

We finish the tour with a Cyclo ride through streets so specialised, that there is a street with instruments, a street with paint, you name it. Walk and be inspired.

Overnight at Gia Thinh Hotel (or similar).

Tour duration: 2 hours

Day 3: Hanoi Cooking Class (B, L)
09:30: Be ready at Go Beyond office, and then we transfer you by taxi to our cosy cooking class venue, in a beautiful green backyard.

We take you to the market to see what we use for cooking. After that it is time to get your hands on cooking. The cooking menus consist of some of the most popular and authentic Vietnamese dishes. All recipes are prepared using ingredients that can be found in most well stocked Asian grocery stores, so you can easily create them in your own kitchen.

Not only do we show you how to cook the dishes but we also introduce Vietnamese culture through out the course. We explain the importance of rice and its cultural significance; we make you taste and know the different spices, when and how they are used; and of course fish sauce.

The cooking class finishes at around 14:00, and you will be transferred by taxi back to our office.

Overnight at Gia Thinh Hotel (or similar)

Note: You will not have to pay for the taxi transfers!

Day 4: Hanoi Departure (B)
