We start the day early at 08:30am with a two and a half hour trek to visit several Pa O hill tribe villages. The Pa O, one of the distinctive hill tribes of Shan State are known for their navy blue clothes, colourful red and orange turbans, and their farming and trading skills. During this day trek, you will get to briefly step into the shoes of the Pa O and learn about how they live. Depending on conditions, we may also pass caves and hot springs along the way to the village.
We’ll arrive at our village destination around noon and sit down to enjoy the typical food of Shan province. After lunch, we’ll continue walking for another three hours before arriving back at the hotel around sunset.
Please note that in order to support the local community, we will be accompanied by a local guide. What they lack in English skills they more than make up for in their love for their region and the pride they have in their community.
