Itinerary

Day 1: Phnom Penh to Ph’av
Learn all about the tuk tuk and some of its safety features and then leave the crowded city behind. Drive through the Cambodian countryside, seeing local people living their daily lives in rural areas.

We will make a stop for lunch and chill at Kampong Cham before heading to our destination of today - Ph’av. On the way, we’ll stop by at Skun known as the “spider city”. Try some locally grown fruit and if you are feeling brave, you can even have a taste of the fried spider!

Day 2: From Ph’av, Kampong Cham to Sambor Prei Kuk
We will be heading to the gate of Kuhak Nokor pagoda and visit the Kuhak Nokor Temple. Then we’ll continue our journey to see Ms. Navin who is the founder of Santuk Silk farm – a local business that helps the village women. She will show us the process for making a scarf (kroma) from natural silk, then we’ll relax and enjoy our lunch here.

After lunch, we’ll continue an epic day of driving, a long, and crazy drive on a dirt road through the Cambodian countryside to the homestay in Sambor Prei Kuk.

Day 3: From Sambor Prei Kuk, Kampong Thom to Stoung
Today, we will have breakfast at a local restaurant in Prey Pros, a natural site, and enjoy the surroundings. We’ll be heading out to the local market to see the daily life and to see how locals earn money to support their families. 

We’ll continue our journey to meet more locals to see how they make sculptures from giant stone, see how locals make Khmer noodle and the Khmer rice wine.

Day 4: From Stoung, Kampong Thom to Kampong Kleang
Wake up early and have breakfast with your homestay family before saying goodbye and continuing you journey by tuk-tuk. The driving goal for today is 80 km. You will be driving on the national street number 6 and dirt roads through local villages.

We will be visiting the Spean Preah Toeus Bridge or Kampong Krei Bridge, the bridge was built in the 12th century during the reign of King Jayavarman VII. It is one of the few Khmer empire era bridges to have survived to the modern day.

After a short visit to the bridge, we’ll continue to Kampong Kleang - imagine wooden houses on 10-meter tall stilts, surrounded by water in the wet season and on the floodplains of the lake in the dry season.

Day 5: From Tonle Sap to Siem Reap 
Today is a shorter driving day on the tuk tuk, have breakfast at a local restaurant and then continue driving to Siem Reap. You will arrive in Siem Reap around lunch time, enjoy lunch with your drivers and wash it down with some celebratory beers. 

Congratulations, you have completed your epic journey across Cambodia! 

After lunch, the end of adventure is here. Your drivers will escort you to your privately booked accommodation to check-in and you're free to relax the rest of the day at your leisure.
