Special Information:
Our Travel Advisor will deliver your train tickets to the reception of your hotel. If you have not booked your accommodation in Shanghai through us, please inform us of your accommodation details at least 72 hours in advance. Itinerary

Day 1: Shanghai to Hangzhou by bullet train. West Lake bike ride and Hefang Foodie Street.
Start your bullet train journey from Shanghai at 09:34 and arrive in Hangzhou at 11:07am – It’s fast and it’s an experience in its own right! Upon arrival in Hangzhou, you will be met by your local guide at the exit of the train station. Together, you will take the metro to Mingtown Int’l Youth Hostel, where you can settle in. You will spend the afternoon with your guide exploring West Lake by bike. The lake is a freshwater lake and there are numerous temples, pagodas, gardens and artificial islands within the lake. A beautiful afternoon in sharp contrast to Shanghai’s busy streets.

In the evening you will go on a walking tour with your guide to visit Hefang Foodie Street. Your guide will explain and point out some of the most popular local snacks, so that you will familiarize yourself with Chinese cuisine.

Transportation: Second-class bullet-train from Shanghai to Hangzhou


Day 2: Hangzhou and back Shanghai by bullet train
You will check-out from your hotel in the morning and you can leave your luggage at the hotel. Your guide will take you to visit the nearly 1,700 year-old Lingyin Temple, a tea plantation, and the Chinese Tea Museum where you will experience Chinese tea culture and taste the special Dragon Well Tea. Afterwards, you will return to your hotel to pick-up your luggage and go by metro with your guide to the train station.

Take the bullet train back to Shanghai and expect to arrive back in Shanghai at around 19:00pm.
