Rafting Nepal Himalaya
Where there are mountains, there are rivers. And naturally with the steep Himalayas, rivers are bred from the high altitude glaciers heading south towards the lowland, carving magnificent deep valley on their way. Some of them are regarded among the finest rafting rivers in the world. Some are just pleasant flows for first timers.
Rafting is adrenalin, concentration, fun and exposure. But it also takes you through beautiful mountain scenery, remote villages now and then, and under suspension bridges with waiting and curious children. Rafting always has it slow parts too and allows time for telling stories at the small river beaches in the night.
Nepal has a fine range of rivers, from easy grade 1rivers, that fits families with children, to high graded expeditionary rivers. The Bhote Khosi, can be rafted in either 1 or 2 days. And actually can be done in the end of the Bhairab Kund trek, without having to return to Kathmandu at first.
The Kali Gandaki and upper section of Bhote Khosi are rivers that are technically a bit more demanding. For an easy flow, Trisuli and Seti River are fine option. Online you will find a few examples of rivers we raft and have chosen carefully.
