Travel Season: Chiang Mai is a year round destination where each season has its benefits. The best time to visit is Nov - Feb, when it is dry and temperatures are at their lowest around 20-25 degrees. From Mar - May the temperature can rise to 39 degrees. The Jun - Oct rainy season can bring heavy and regular rainfall, but it rarely lasts more than a couple of hours, and the province and jungle will be at its greenest.

There is no overall guide on the tour. There will be drivers who speak limited English and English-speaking tour guides during Bike & Food Tour, and the 3 days of Jungle Trekking.

Day 1: Arrival In Chiang Mai and check-in to ECO Resort. Free time to settle in, explore the city or kick back in ECO Resort’s swimming pool.
Arrive in Chiang Mai, where you will be picked up in the airport or at the bus/train station. Transfer to ECO Resort where you will stay for the next 3 nights. When you arrive your room might not be ready until 14.00. If so, you can store your luggage and use the swimming pool to relax and splash around.
The rest of the day and night is free for you to settle in and explore the city. Remember also to swing by the Go Beyond Travel Center for a bit of inspiration, a friendly chat or that essential piece of advice.

Day 2: Free morning and afternoon/night bicycle ride behind the scene in Chiang Mai, digging into the street food and exploring local life
Wake up early for a quiet morning swim and some hours of city exploration. Or sleep in and recharge with a late breakfast and a good book.
At 16.00, be ready to depart from ECO Resort and go by local songthaew to the starting point of you food and bike tour.
Once you have your bike in your hand and two wheels below, you go through the old city and pay a short visit to Wat Phra Singh temple. From here it’s time to get lost way off the beaten track with a visit to the artistic and hip area of Nimmanhaemin Road and Chiang Mai University. On the way your guide will let you try some delicious local snacks and on the local night markets, you will fill up your appetite and stomach.
Then it is time to burn off those calories as you proceed through the backstreets of the city and local neighborhoods. One of the last stops will be at the famous Wat Chedi Luang Temple in the middle of the old town. At night the Chedi is illuminated which gives the temple a magical view. Around 21:00 you will be back at the bike shop where you started the tour. From here you can visit the old town by yourself, continue to the Night Bazaar or return to ECO resort. Your guide will help you find transportation to your desired destination.

Day 3: Jungle Trekking – Leave for the jungle life, spend time with the majestic elephants and stay overnight in a local White Karen Village
Depart from ECO Resort in the early morning (05:30) and head towards the green mountains close to Doi Inthanon. Spend your morning with Elephants, bath them in the river, and feed them their favourite foods such as bananas, sugar cane and bamboo.
Around 09.30 you start the trek from the elephant village via a natural trail. Along the way you will learn how to survive in the jungle such as how to cook food in bamboo, how to find drinking water in the jungle and use your slingshot. Lunch will be served around midday in the jungle and after a needed break you continue walking for another approx. 3 hours.
In the late afternoon you will arrive at a White Karen Village. Spend time with these lovely and hospital hill tribe people, experience local life and sleep overnight.

Day 4: Jungle Trekking – leave the village behind, swim in Chiang Mai’s tallest waterfall, explore the jungle by night, and spend the night in a jungle camp.
Start your day with breakfast and say goodbye to your village hosts. In front of you is 3 hours of trekking to Chiang Mai’s tallest waterfall. Once here, you will have time for a refreshing swim in the mountain water followed by lunch.
Continue walking for another 2 hours before you arrive at a jungle camp. Learn how to cook traditional Thai food and after dinner, you will explore the jungle after darkness falls – see the animals, the insects and listen to the sounds of the night.

Day 5: Jungle Trekking – Trek across paddy fields and up a small hills to magnificent views, swim in a waterfall and enjoy bamboo rafting down the river.
Wake up for breakfast and walk for about an hour to visit a local village. Participate in the daily deeds, such as grounding rice and feeding the animals. Continue trekking through beautiful paddy fields and up a small hill to visit an old local temple. There are great views to be enjoyed from the viewpoint!
At midday, your lunch will be served at a small waterfall. Do a refreshing dip in the cool water and linger around in the beautiful nature. Around 15:00 you board a bamboo raft, and sail down the river. Depending on the water level and season, this can be a laidback ride or an adventurous experience!
Expect to be back in Chiang Mai around 17:30, where you check-in to ECO Resort, cleanse off the jungle life and spend a last night in this charming city.

Day 6: Checkout from ECO Resort – continue to your next destination.
It is the last day of your package and you will check out at 12.00 noon. Enjoy breakfast between 06.30 and 10.30. After checkout you will be able to store your luggage and take a shower if needed. If you need guidance or help to your onwards journey, simply ask the Travel Advisors for help with tickets, travel routes, border crossing or a dash of inspiration. Just go ahead, go beyond!
